Topic: Describe your collegiate experience thus far. How has this experience and the knowledge you’ve gained influenced what you plan to study? How have they influenced your decision to apply to St. Edward’s?

Description

( MY BACKGROUND INFO) My freshman year of college I attended Texas State University which was not the best experience, it was a great school but the environment wasn’t for me. >br>I knew I wanted to transfer to St.Edwards University because they have a good marketing program/business school. Therefore my sophomore year I decided to go to Austin community college so I could complete the classes needed in order to transfer.
This was very beneficial because I was able to learn better in a smaller environment. Not only did it help me in school but I think that because I work and and attend school in Austin I’ve been able to balance both schedules without any conflicts with assignments or my work schedule.
When I was attending Texas State it was very difficult driving to work every day and feeling I couldn’t get my work done efficiently

Topic: Software Engineering/Web Development personal statement

I was always impressed about the education in the UK as of its teaching quality. Because of this I’ve moved to the UK when I was 16 years old away from my parents in order to study Information Technology in the local College. I believe that this shows how independent and organized person I am.
Since I started my IT course, I have immediately bought online courses in order to learn programming languages. During my studies I’ve read books about HTML, CSS and JavaScript and watched a lot of tutorials on the internet as well as reading online documentations in order to improve my coding skills. While I was learning I have created several websites that can be seen on my portfolio: kacperadamski.com. I have attempted a college competition where students had an opportunity to create a website for gallery exhibition located in Berkhamsted where I won 1 place. Thanks to this I had an opportunity to work with people and gain real working experience. Overall experience with web development allowed me to be in the position where I can now code every responsive website without using any frameworks. For now I can only create front-end of the websites but I am currently learning back-end languages including PHP and Python.
Things to include:
I have taken a charity work in Poland (Caritas) for a year when I was attending to High School. I was collecting money and food for people in need.
I would like to be a software engineer or full stack web developer.
I am currently working as a freelancer in my free time and trying to create web projects so that I can include them in my portfolio which then will be used in my job application.

Topic: Personal Statement for PhD application for Immunology Program

Description

I want to write an inspiring and persuasive essay on why I want to do a PhD in Immunology. From a very young age, I have always questioned the world. Science almost always gave me the answers to my non-ending why’s. As I grew up, I realized that science doesn’t just give me answers, it gives me the tools need to keep answering them as I grow up. This is when I I chose science and research to be something I love and want as a career and a lifelong commitment. Pursuing a PhD is the stepping stone for me. My parents, unlike many in my country who believe that women’s place is at home, supported my ambitions. I got a Bachelor degree in Biochemistry, and a Master’s degree in immunology and microbiology, with emphasis in virology (the immune system to me is like a group of soldiers in a battle field, and that’s why I love it). I volunteered and worked in research laboratories. Then I traveled to the USA as a visiting research scholar because I believe that this step will ease the way for a PhD. I would like to mention that I have the set of skills that this position require. Also I would like to talk about the reasons I choose the university I am applying to, which are being one of america’s best universities, having a great program that suits my ambitions, and how a PhD will do me as and the society good. Kindly I need the essay to be of excellent quality. It’s of great importance to my application. I need it well put.

General Assembly Application Software Engineering

1. You will spend 20+ hours per week learning outside of class for this program. Do you anticipate any barriers that would prevent from devoting this time to the program?
• No, I do not anticipate any barriers. When I spoke about my interests with my current instructor, Tony for Web development at Salt Lake Community College he recommended me to take this program as a full -time job. I decided that I will put all my efforts, time and energy for this Software Engineering program because it takes a lot practice.
I feel that I am ready to perform in your program —financially, academically—and that I have honed the skills necessary to excel.
I save money to be able to pay my two years daughter day care tuition and able to pay my household bill at least 4 months training and I will quit my current job to able spend more time for practice and I decided that I will use local library or Salt community college library to avoid home destruction while I am not in class. I believe my determination and tenacity in the pursuit of knowledge, along with my other qualifications, can lead to success as a student in the Software Engineering Immersive program.

2.Tell me about a time about a time you have solve a complex problem. How did you break down the problem in a small unit to create solution?

• Using S.A.R. Structure your responses using S.A.R.: Situation, Action, Response.
That is, you should start off outlining the situation, then explaining the actions you took, and lastly, describing the result.
Example: “Tell me about a time you have solve a complex problem.” »
• Situation: In March 2019 I was promoted to be a team lead in my production area and we had a weekly goal of 40000 quantities and the issue was to hit the goal otherwise we to come to work for next day(overtime)to get jo done, and my team struggled to complete the weekly goal.

• » Action: One day after few of my coworkers complained to work long hours, I pulled my supervisor aside to speak about the idea I had to break one team into two teams and take breaks in rotation so that teams will nonstop, and she agreed if two teams will be more productive. I asked my team to try new method of work and see the improvement. I realized then that two small teams of four people are better that one big team, and I made sure everyone is happy and productive.

• » Result: Break one team in two small teams were more productive and we reach weekly goal production and go beyond over production for 6000 quantities. I was able to finish all weekly work on time.

4. What events led you to decide that you can be a Software Engineering

January 17,2019, I attended Women Who Code meetup/ Salt Lake City at Adobe Lehi. For the first time, I stepped over a clear boundary and stepped into a world where I knew I belonged. Through that meetup I knew valuable information and I knew that Adobe Digital Academy offer Scholarship for Web Development for nontraditional CS degree background and can contribute in many ways as a software engineer.

5. Why do you think you will be a good engineer?

Most African female raise at least one eyebrow when they hear that I study Web design and programming hope to pursue a Software Engineering. But the fact is, I’ve had a fascination with JavaScript, UI and ways to take advantage of systems for a long time. This interest has led to my passion for the interdisciplinary study of Web Design and Web development; specifically, how software is a critical component to every industry. Software Engineering has become a vital-and valuable-work skill as companies have turned to boost productivity and make life easier.

The core of my attraction to be a good engineer, several experiences and courses have furthered this interest and are outlined below.
• Constant learner: October-December 2019, I am enrolled at SLCC for Web Design and Web development to acquire skills and practice necessary to perform well as engineer like html, CSS, and JavaScript. The overall topics were evolutionary game theory and social networks; specific topics included Markov chains, game space manifolds, and decision dynamics. Pursuing my interest in decision making and error, I produced an independent project studying the effects of anticipatory error on decision making in normal form games.
• Logical thinking and reasoning:
• Communication skills: able to communicate
• Attention to detail: I pay attention to detail throughout the course of any assigned project and I think it is crucial in engineering because the cost of making even the slightest of errors is huge
• Creativity and innovation: I am creative and I think outside the box and able to improve existing systems and innovate new ones .As a must-have soft skill for engineers, is characterized by imagination, then turning those thoughts into things. Software engineers inherently build on what exists, they try to improve things incrementally, but along the way they inject original thinking into everything they do.

• Team player: I am team player and I am Any project that is completed successfully, and efficiency has a great team, and not just one person, working behind it by using AGILE: Focus on people doing the work and how the work together. The agile process provides ample opportunities for feedback across teams and to ensure that everyone is on the same page. Engineers who communicate effectively, who think critically, make their teams better.

• Passion and love your career and Diversity: I am proud of myself until now and I have different experience and education to ensure I will be a good engineer. I possess Management degree from France. I am fluent in French and I work in Africa and Europe.
