Topic: Literature Review for Masters

Description

The research title and research question is ‘to what extent does a growth mindset support children with a disability? An exploration of the experiences of pupils.’

The literature review must be structured according to the Research Question (to what extent does a growth mindset support children with a disability?) in themes. I have not come up with any themes but they must relate to the research question. There should be 3 themes/sections.

Below is some points which were given from our marker:

Introductory paragraph (200 words) – justify structure, purpose of a lit review (what is a lit review). What the section will explore.

(ii) Literature review – Review key and up-to-date literature (typically from the last decade) regarding your chosen aspect of educational research, synthesising theory with practice. Ensure you develop a careful interpretation of the literature so that the assessor/ moderators can assess your understanding of what you have read and show how you are using the literature to critically analyse practice. There are various sources you can use which will show you how to undertake a literature review – a good starting point is the Writing at level 7 handbook.

I have attached the Writing at Level 7 handbook and the PPT that was showed to us about writing the literature review – please use both when writing the literature review.

Please include all of the points above throughout the literature review

You must be critiquing the literature – have to be critically engaged with the literature. SHOW EFFECTIVE ANALYSIS AND SYNTHESIS THROUGHOUT THE LITERATURE REVIEW
